How I prepare for remote visits (simple things that actually help)

By Charlotte on

After a few remote visits, I’ve learned that small, basic things make a big difference. Nothing fancy just real stuff from experience.

1. I treat it like a real appointment. I block the time and give it my full attention. Multitasking doesn’t work
2. I test my tech early. Mic, camera, internet. Doing this ahead of time avoids stress.
3. I find a quiet, private spot. I talk more honestly when I’m not worried about being overheard.
4. I write down what I want to say. Otherwise I forget important details once the call starts.
5. I keep meds and info nearby. Saves time and keeps things smooth.6
6. Before ending, I ask one last question. “Is there anything else I should know or do?”

Remote visits can work really well when you keep it simple and show up prepared. They’ve actually become easier than in-person visits for me.

Just sharing in case this helps someone else.☺️
