How often do you update your iOS… and do you even NOTICE anything afterward? 😅📱

So Apple dropped iOS 26 a few months ago and, like clockwork, everyone rushed to update like our phones were about to self-destruct if we didn’t. But here’s the real question: do any of us actually notice what changed… or do we just hit “Install Now” and hope for the best?

Because every time I update, the process is the same. My phone restarts, the Apple logo shows up, then the screen goes black long enough for me to experience a mild emotional crisis. It finally turns back on… and everything looks exactly the same. Maybe the clock font moved one pixel to the left. Maybe the brightness slider feels more judgmental. Maybe some obscure setting I’ve never used is now in a new location for absolutely no reason. But overall, it’s the same phone I left behind 20 minutes earlier.

And don’t even get me started on the update notes. They’re always something like “We made improvements,” “Various fixes,” or the classic “Some things may work better.” Apple could literally write “Just trust us,” and we’d still be out here smashing the Install button like loyal soldiers.

So now I’m genuinely curious: after updating, do you actually notice anything? Or do you, like me, sit there pretending your phone feels “smoother” because everyone else said it does?

Please tell me I’m not the only one who updates out of obligation and then stares at my phone afterward like… Tim Cook, what exactly did you do?
