Time Magazine names “The Architects of AI” as 2025 Person of the Year

Time Magazine didn’t pick a single person this yeaR, they awarded Person of the Year to “the architects of AI”. Basically the major players behind modern AI: Jensen Huang, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Fei-Fei Li, Sam Altman, Lisa Su, Dario Amodei, Demis Hassabis, and a few others.
Time’s reasoning is basically that AI is moving faster than anything we’ve seen since the early days of the internet, and that these people had the biggest impact on the world in 2025. For better or worse, their decisions are shaping everything from how we work, learn, shop, and search, to what our future might look like.
Some analysts are calling 2025 a tipping point for everyday AI use. Others are warning that we’re sprinting ahead without fully understanding the risks.
