Apple may switch to a punch-hole camera on the iPhone 18 Pro

I’ve been reading through a few reports this week, and it looks like Apple could be planning a notable display change for its high-end iPhones in 2026.
According to multiple sources, Apple is working on moving most Face ID components under the screen on the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. That would leave just a small punch-hole cutout for the front camera instead of the current pill-shaped design.
What stood out to me is that the selfie camera would no longer be centred. The reports suggest it would move to the top-left corner of the display, which would be a first for iPhones. Apple has kept front-facing hardware centered since the notch debuted back in 2017.
Aside from the display, the overall design is expected to stay similar to current Pro models. There’s also talk that Apple may change its release strategy starting in 2026, with Pro models launching earlier and standard or budget models coming later.
Still just rumors for now, but it does feel like Apple is slowly pushing toward a cleaner, less obstructed screen. Interested to hear what others think about the off-center punch-hole idea.
