What’s a movie that had you locked in within the first few minutes?
By JugglingNothing on
Some movies take their time to warm up… and that’s fine. But every now and then, you hit play on something that immediately demands your attention. No scrolling, no checking your phone, you’re just in.
Those are my favorite kinds of movies.
I’m especially drawn to films that create tension right out of the gate. Whether it’s a shocking opening scene, nonstop momentum, or an atmosphere that instantly feels intense, I love when a movie doesn’t wait around to make its point. Horror does this really well, action movies too, and certain thrillers are absolute masters at it.
That said, I’ve also enjoyed movies that start off slow and still end up telling an incredible story. But if I had to choose, I’ll always lean toward high-stakes, edge-of-your-seat storytelling.
If you’re in the mood for something gripping to watch this festive season, I found a ranked list of intense movies that are known for pulling viewers in fast. Definitely added a few to my watchlist.
