Watching all 15 seasons of supernatural – worth it for Sam and Dean Alone?

By JugglingNothing on

I’ve just finished all 15 seasons of Supernatural, and here’s the honest take: it’s a wild ride. Everyone will tell you the first five seasons are the best, and that’s true. They’re tight, well-written, and hit that perfect mix of horror, humor, and heart. Season six keeps the momentum pretty well, but around season seven, things start to shift. The show leans harder into fantasy, and the writing quality starts to wobble. From seasons six through nine, it’s still enjoyable, but from season ten onwards, the quality definitely drops. The plots get weaker, some storylines feel repetitive, and a lot of episodes just don’t hit the mark. But here’s the thing, I kept watching until the very end. Why? Sam and Dean. Those two brothers are the real anchor. No matter how bad the writing gets, their relationship keeps the show alive. You could put them in any other show, and it would still work. Their chemistry is just that strong. By the later seasons, I wasn’t really watching *Supernatural* as a show, I was watching Sam and Dean do Sam and Dean stuff in a world that happened to be Supernatural. It makes me wonder about favorite on-screen couples in general. Chemistry like that? It can carry a series, even when the writing struggles. So, for anyone debating whether to binge all 15 seasons: if you care about storylines alone, maybe stop after five. But if you love seeing incredible on-screen relationships, Sam and Dean make it worth the journey.
