the best gift we can give our children isn’t money — it’s preparation

I don’t want to think of life as something we just live and pass through. I like to see it as something we give a chance to create purpose in everything we do. Personally, I believe there’s a God who created each of us for a reason, and that belief shapes how I see my role as a parent.
Watching my children grow, I often find myself imagining their future who they’ll become, what they’ll do, and how I can help them get there. My husband always shares this story about Bill Gates: how his success didn’t just appear out of nowhere. He went to one of the few schools in the U.S. that had access to a computer at the time, which gave him and his friends the chance to learn programming early on. That opportunity, that preparation changed everything.
It made me realize that the best gift we can give our children isn’t wealth or comfort, but preparation. Preparing them to be strong, capable, and ready for the world. Teaching them to think, to adapt, to understand life as it comes. Because a prepared child doesn’t just face the future, they shape it.
