Thinking about starting a small veggie garden this year

By Charlotte on

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but something about the new year made it feel more real.

I like the idea of routines that actually give something back. The kind where you can see progress without rushing it. Somewhere along the way, I realized that growing a few vegetables in my backyard fits that feeling perfectly. Quiet, predictable, and meaningful in a very grounded way.

This year, I really want to eat something that came from my own space. Not a big garden, not anything fancy, just a few things I know I’ll actually use. I’m starting simple, with greens like lettuce and spinach.

I feel like there’s no much pressure for it to be perfect. If something doesn’t grow, that’s not failure. I can adjust. Try again. That mindset feels important to me this year.
