How do you deal with Sundays knowing Monday is coming?
By Eli Mercer on
Sometimes Sundays are weird for me. Most of the day is fine. I run errands, drink coffee, maybe watch a game or do some laundry. Then later in the afternoon usually around 4 or 5 my mood shifts. I start thinking about work, emails I haven’t answered, meetings on the calendar, and how fast the weekend went.
I don’t hate my job, but Mondays still feel heavy. It’s the switch from having control over my time to being back on a schedule. Alarms, traffic, inboxes filling up before you even log in. It’s exhausting before the week even starts.
I’ve tried getting ready for Monday early. Laying out clothes, making a to-do list, cleaning up my space. It helps a little, but the feeling is still there. Staying up late just makes Monday worse, but sometimes I do it anyway because Sunday night feels like the last bit of freedom.
Do you have something that actually makes Mondays easier, or do you just push through and hope the week goes fast?
