The plane crash in Maine really made me think about life
By JugglingNothing on
Today I read about the plane crash in Bangor, Maine, where a private jet carrying eight people crashed during takeoff amid a winter storm, killing seven and seriously injuring one, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Imagine this for a second: someone wakes up, grabs a coffee, heads to the airport, boards a plane, maybe thinking about work, family, or the weekend ahead and just minutes later their life is gone in an instant. We hear about accidents like this and it hits differently when you stop to picture the real people on board not just numbers in a news headline.
This has taught me something important: life doesn’t come with a promise of tomorrow. We plan, we schedule, we push things off for “later,” but none of us truly knows when our time is up. Something as ordinary as getting on a plane can end the story for someone without warning.
So here’s what I’m holding onto right now, live your life on purpose. Don’t wait for a perfect moment to say “I love you,” to chase that goal, to mend that relationship, or to just be kinder. We don’t get guaranteed time with the people we care about, and we don’t know what the next hour holds.
