You’re not losing your mind, you’re just struggling
By Eli Mercer on
I just wanted to share something that hit me recently. When you’re deep in depression, it’s easy to start thinking there’s something fundamentally wrong with you. You might feel like you’re broken, or that nobody else feels this way. I’ve been there, lying in bed thinking my thoughts were too heavy, too weird, too much for anyone to understand.
But here’s the thing, depression doesn’t mean you’re losing your mind. It doesn’t mean you’re weak or weird. It just means your brain is going through something intense and painful, and your emotions are sending signals that you might not fully recognize.
Sometimes all it takes is realizing that you’re not alone. There are so many people who feel exactly like you do, even if it doesn’t look like it on the surface. Reaching out, talking, or even just reading posts here can remind you that your experience is valid and that there’s a way through this.
You’re not broken. You’re struggling, and that’s okay.
