Struggling to sleep? Here’s how I’m trying to get back on track

By Eli Mercer on

Sometimes I just can’t sleep. Life feels short, and it’s like nothing is moving forward. I know I’m not alone in this; almost everyone goes through periods like this at some point in their lives, and it’s totally normal. One thing I’ve realized is that keeping your purpose in life clear really helps. When you stay focused on what matters to you and remind yourself of positive thoughts, it can make restless nights feel a little less heavy. About mobile phones, yeah, it’s tough. Breaking the habit completely isn’t always realistic. Instead, I try to use technology to my advantage. Learning a skill online or listening to educational podcasts can turn screen time into something productive rather than just mindless scrolling. If sleep still doesn’t come, it’s worth looking at other factors too. There are so many reasons insomnia can hit: medical, psychological, or physical. But even if none of those seem to be the issue, there are small things that can help: listening to calm music, podcasts, meditating, or just embracing silence in a peaceful environment. Creating that calm space can make a surprisingly big difference. It’s a process, and some nights will be better than others. But focusing on your goals, using tech wisely, and giving your mind and body a chance to relax can help you slowly regain better sleep.
