Starting over with ADHD is messy, but I’m still moving forward

Starting over is hard enough. Doing it while managing ADHD, parenting, grief, work, and major life changes can feel overwhelming.
A simple form can sit untouched for days. One phone call can feel like an entire project. When several things need attention at once, deciding where to begin sometimes becomes the hardest part.
I’m learning that rebuilding doesn’t require fixing everything today. Sometimes progress is answering one email, making one appointment, preparing one meal, or asking someone trustworthy for help.
Choosing one priority, writing down the next small action, and using reminders has made difficult days feel more manageable. I’m also trying to stop measuring progress by how quickly other people seem to move.
My new beginning may be messy, but every small step still counts.
