The school already knows whether you’re serious

Every parent who contacts me falls into one of three groups. Group 1: “My child needs help. I’m taking action.” Group 2: “My child needs help, but I’m going to wait a little longer.” Group 3: “I’m going to keep bouncing from Facebook group to Facebook group, collecting free advice from strangers, watching videos, reading comments, and asking the same questions over and over while absolutely nothing changes for my child.” Here’s the reality. Groups 2 and 3 end up in the same place. Another school year gone. Another IEP that wasn’t good enough. Another set of excuses. Another year your child never gets back. The school already knows whether you’re serious. Most parents spend months or years gathering information when what they actually need is a strategy and someone willing to drive the process. Information isn’t your problem. You already know there’s a problem. Action is the problem. So which one are you? www.yourchild.org #IEP #SpecialEducation #Autism #ADHD #504Plan #SpecialEducationAdvocate #ParentAdvocate #IEPHelp #SpecialNeedsParenting #AutismParent #DisabilityAdvocacy #YourChild
