Read this if you’ve been hurt more than twice ❤️

In my first relationship, I was still just a young girl. We were figuring out life, love, and everything in between but honestly, we were too immature to handle what a real relationship needed. It was all emotions and no direction. Eventually, we fell apart, and that breakup left a mark that I didn’t understand until much later.
About six months later, I met Dino, an Asian American guy. To kid you not, Dino was handsome, charming, and disciplined but he was also a perfectionist. Everything had to go his way, and no matter how hard I tried, I always felt like I wasn’t enough. I tried to love him through it, but it felt like walking on eggshells. That relationship drained me and left me doubting if love was even worth it.
Then came Larry, smart, humble, and funny. For a while, I thought he was “the one.” But his biggest flaw was being a womanizer. I can still count the times I caught him cheating, and each time it broke something in me that took months to heal.
At that point, I was done. I gave up on love completely. I focused on myself my healing, my growth, my peace. I learned to love being alone before ever trying to love someone else again.
And that’s when I met Ben. My husband now. We’re not perfect, but what keeps us strong is respect, love, and forgiveness. I’m grateful that I didn’t give up on love forever just long enough to become the version of myself that could handle it right.
You’re not broken. You’re becoming.
