What’s that one game you really tried to 100% — but the achievements broke your spirit? 😩

I’ve always considered myself a bit of a completionist. You know, the kind of person who won’t sleep easy knowing there’s one missing achievement blinking at me from the corner of the screen. But man… some games just don’t play fair.
I still remember the PS3/Xbox 360 era, when it felt like every single game suddenly had to have a multiplayer mode, even when it made zero sense. I’m talking Max Payne 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and even Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood all games that were meant to be deep single-player experiences… until publishers decided “multiplayer sells better.” 😬
And don’t get me wrong, Assassin’s Creed’s multiplayer wasn’t bad. It was actually kinda fun stealthy, unpredictable, and even a bit “Among Us”-like before Among Us existed. But some of those achievements? Absolute nightmares. Try getting Revelations’ “Abstergo Employee of the Month” trophy you basically had to pull off 15 near-impossible feats online, half of which depended on random strangers not rage-quitting.
Then there’s Halo 3. If you ever tried to unlock the full armor set, you know exactly what pain is. Certain armor pieces could only be earned online, and only on one specific day of the year. Imagine missing it by one day. I swear, that still haunts me.
Even games I did complete like Dark Souls III nearly broke me. Farming covenant items for 100% completion felt like trying to empty the ocean with a spoon. 😅
