Any Pokémon fans here? 👀
Some of these games got me through rough days, long nights, and times when focusing on something familiar was the only thing that helped. If you grew up with Pokémon (or still play), you get it. Which generation was your favorite?

Happy 10th anniversary to Stardew Valley!
After a decade of farming, friendships, and countless hours lost to sprinklers and kegs, ConcernedApe dropped a special anniversary video today. In about ~23 minutes of celebration he goes over pre-release footage, shares messages to the community, and reveals the two new marriage candidates coming in Update 1.7 It’s wild to think this indie farm sim launched in 2016 and still feels so fresh with millions of players worldwide, free updates, and even a Symphony of Seasons concert tour happening.

This just got me thinking...
Gaming taught me patience and problem-solving. It was an escape when life sucked and a social space when things were good. But balance matters. Too much of anything can become unhealthy.

Nintendo Switch just became Nintendo’s best‑selling console ever and Switch 2 is crushing it too
Okay gamers, big news from Nintendo’s latest sales numbers and it’s honestly kinda wild in the best way: the original Nintendo Switch has officially become Nintendo’s best‑selling console of all time, beating out even the Nintendo DS with over 155 million units sold as of the end of 2025. That’s a huge deal considering how iconic the DS was for nearly two decades. Nintendo’s hybrid concept that blended handheld and home console gaming has clearly stuck with people big time and the next gen looks

First time playing Stardew Valley and I’m completely hooked
I just started playing Stardew Valley, and I’m honestly surprised at how quickly it’s consumed my brain. My first in-game week was a blur, I spent hours planting crops, fishing in every spot I could find, and talking to the townsfolk like I actually lived there. The music is incredible; it somehow makes early morning watering feel like a cinematic moment. I love how chill the game feels, but also how satisfying it is. Every little win, harvesting your first crops, catching a fish that almost got

Top 10 best selling games in the US in 2025
Do I agree with this list? Yeah mostly. It tracks with U.S. buying habits: Call of Duty and sports titles are basically annual utilities at this point, and big franchises like Battlefield, Monster Hunter, and Borderlands always move units. The remaster sneaking in makes sense too nostalgia sells hard. That said, “best-selling” ≠ “best.” This list reflects mass appeal and marketing muscle more than creativity or risk. I’d expect some incredible indie or mid-budget games from 2025 to be totally mi

This old pc game collection is pure nostalgia and it makes me miss gaming back then
These big box PC games were everything. Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, Baldur’s Gate, Half-Life, Quake, Duke Nukem, Fallout, Monkey Island, Civilization… just stacked up like a shrine to late nights and lost weekends. Back then, getting a new game felt like an event. You’d open the box, flip through a thick manual, read the lore before even installing it. Installs took forever, discs had to be swapped, and if something didn’t work, you were on your own trying to figure it out. No day-one patches.

ExeKiller just dropped a new gameplay overview trailer 👀
If you’re into gritty post-apocalyptic shooters with a twist, this one might hit your radar. ExeKiller from indie dev Paradark Studio, is shaping up to be a retro-futuristic western-style FPS with choice-driven gameplay and survival elements set in a burned-out world where corporations rule and bounty hunters are the law (or lack thereof). The game doesn’t have a release date yet, but ExeKiller is still in development and available to wishlist on Steam. Trailer link: 🎮 https://youtu.be/dEeUzd4n

Which single video game or series are you planning to keep playing into the new year?
As the new year begins, I’ve been thinking less about what new games I want to start and more about which ones I know I’ll keep coming back to. Not necessarily your absolute favorite game or series but the one that gives you that warm, familiar feeling when you boot it up. The one tied to memories, seasons of life, or just a sense of comfort. For me, it’s Pokémon. It’s probably not my “best of all time” series if I really sat down and ranked things, but it’s the one that’s quietly followed me fo

Picked up Ghost of Tsushima for my Son, not a Christmas gift, just a dad moment
I picked up Ghost of Tsushima for my son and decided to surprise him with it. No big announcement, no wrapping paper, just a quiet “hey, I got you something” moment. The look on his face was worth it. It took me back to when I was a kid in the early 2000s and my parents surprised me with games like Halo: Combat Evolved or Need for Speed: Underground. Those weren’t just games, they were memories. Late nights, snow days, and that feeling of being completely pulled into another world. Seeing my son

Hollow Knight: Silksong - Sea of Sorrow Teaser
I’m not deep enough into the lore to confidently guess what any of it means, and Team Cherry hasn’t said much yet, other than promising more info before release. Alongside this, they also pushed a beta update on PC (Steam and GOG) for the original Hollow Knight. It adds ultrawide support, more controller options, some visual improvements, and quality-of-life tweaks like auto-pausing when opening the inventory. Here’s the trailer on YouTube if you haven’t seen it yet: https://www.youtube.com/watc

🔴BREAKING: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 just took Game of the Year!
Expedition 33 won Game of the Year at The Game Awards, and honestly… wow. I knew people loved it, but I didn’t expect it to beat out some of the bigger titles this year. If you’ve played it, you know how wild the world-building and combat are, but seeing it actually take GOTY is kind of surreal. Feels like one of those sleeper hits that suddenly everyone wakes up to at the same time.

Which game had a real impact on your life?
I’ve been thinking about how some games don’t just entertain us, they genuinely shape who we become.. For me, it was Minecraft. I got so deep into modding that it pushed me to learn programming, which eventually led to my career as a game engineer. My entire path started because I wanted to tweak a game I loved. I’ve heard similar stories from others. One person said World of Warcraft basically carried them through teens. It was their escape, their social circle, and the one place where they fel

King Kong the game turns 20 years old... anyone else remember how good it was?
I absolutely love this game I can’t even count how many hours I poured into it as a kid. When it first came out, my parents had just bought our first PC, and the game was included as a demo with the graphics card. I was only 6, replaying the same three levels endlessly. When I finally got to play the full version years later, I remember getting terrified of the giant bugs because I didn’t realize you were supposed to use fire on them. I’ve probably finished this game over a hundred times in the

chess — the one game I’ll never outgrow ♟️
I’ve played a lot of games in my life shooters, strategy, sports sims but chess? Chess is *the* one that’s stayed with me since childhood. There’s something about the quiet intensity of it that still gives me a rush. Every match is like a small war of patience and foresight no luck, no RNG, just you and the board. My dad taught me the basics when I was around 8, and ever since then it’s been my go-to game. Now that I’ve got kids of my own, I’m starting to teach them too. My son just learned how

What’s that one game you really tried to 100% — but the achievements broke your spirit? 😩
I’ve always considered myself a bit of a completionist. You know, the kind of person who won’t sleep easy knowing there’s one missing achievement blinking at me from the corner of the screen. But man… some games just don’t play fair. I still remember the PS3/Xbox 360 era, when it felt like every single game suddenly had to have a multiplayer mode, even when it made zero sense. I’m talking Max Payne 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and even Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood all games that were meant to be

Well, that didn’t take long! After just one week at the top of the UK physical charts, EA Sports FC 26 has already been dethroned — and the new champion is none other than Ghost of Yotei. The rise has been surprisingly quick, but the buzz seems justified. Players are raving about the game’s stunning visuals, immersive world-building, and emotional storytelling.
