Nintendo Switch just became Nintendo’s best‑selling console ever and Switch 2 is crushing it too

Okay gamers, big news from Nintendo’s latest sales numbers and it’s honestly kinda wild in the best way: the original Nintendo Switch has officially become Nintendo’s best‑selling console of all time, beating out even the Nintendo DS with over 155 million units sold as of the end of 2025. That’s a huge deal considering how iconic the DS was for nearly two decades.
Nintendo’s hybrid concept that blended handheld and home console gaming has clearly stuck with people big time and the next gen looks like it’s carrying that momentum forward. Whether you’re in it for Zelda, Mario, indies, or just couch co‑op chaos, it’s awesome to see Nintendo still dominating.
