Slay the Spire 2 early access is live… and It’s already huge

So Slay the Spire 2 just launched in Early Access, and it’s already pulling massive player numbers on Steam. For a sequel to a deck-building roguelike, that’s pretty wild but honestly not that surprising considering how big the first game became.
The original Slay the Spire pretty much defined the modern deck-builder roguelike. A lot of games tried to copy that formula over the years, but very few captured the same mix of strategy, randomness, and “just one more run” addiction.
From what I’ve seen so far, the sequel is bringing new characters, updated visuals, and new mechanics while still keeping the core gameplay loop that made the first game so addictive. That’s probably why so many players jumped in immediately when Early Access opened.
