Modern Warfare 4 Is Already Changing Because Players Are Complaining
By JugglingNothing on
One thing I actually like about the Modern Warfare 4 beta is how quickly the developers are responding to player feedback.
The latest updates aren't just small bug fixes either. Infinity Ward has been adjusting some of the biggest parts of the multiplayer experience, including time-to-kill, movement, spawns, weapons, aim assist, and killstreaks.
The TTK changes are probably the most important. After players complained about how quickly they were dying, the developers adjusted weapons across the beta to give players a little more time to react and improve their chances in gunfights.
They've also increased movement speeds in Warzone, including weapon sprint speeds and ADS strafing, while trying to keep the overall combat pace more deliberate.
There are smaller changes too. Transit 213 now has its own 24/7 playlist, Ground War has been added to the beta, and several annoying bugs and visual issues are being cleaned up.
I actually think this is what a beta should be.
Give players the game early, let thousands of people break it, complain about it, find weird balance problems, and then actually make changes before launch.
Of course, the bigger question is whether these changes will be enough.
Call of Duty players can be brutally honest when they don't like something, and a few weeks of beta testing can't fix every problem.
Still, I'd rather see developers making meaningful adjustments during a beta than launch the game six months later with the same complaints everyone already had.
If you've played the Modern Warfare 4 beta, what is the ONE thing you think Infinity Ward needs to fix before launch?
TTK? Movement? Spawns? Weapons? Maps? Aim assist?
Or do you think MW4 is already in good shape?
